Prior to his studies in philosophy and theology, Jacobs studied fine arts painting and drawing at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. He continues to produce artwork as time allows. For samples from his portfolio and works currently in progress, see the links below.

Jacobs has taught several classes on art and theology at Calvin College; he has published on aesthetics in the Journal of Markets and Morality, and spoken on aesthetics for Radio Free Acton (see PUBLISHED ESSAYS for links to both). He has recently begun venturing into the film arena, and is co-founder of Emeritus Productions.
